Company’s quality policy

KG Group poultry business companies continuously invest in the installation of quality and food safety systems, their maintenance in professional level, and continuous improvement. We are aware that only conscious, well trained personnel knowledgeable of their job can produce high-quality products. Our staff is our key quality factor, therefore we are constantly taking care of their training, upgrade of qualification, and improvement of employment and living conditions. Quality assurance is the company's main strategy, and everyone in the company is well aware of the quality and food safety policies and purposely participates in the achievement of such targets.

Quality is the result of the joint systematic, interoperable efforts, and communication with customers.

Implementing our quality policy, we seek for consumers to receive safe, high quality and valuable product and turn its value into the understandable desire to choose our product again. We achieve the desired results through proper rearing, care and feeding techniques, complying with the requirements of sanitary and hygiene during slaughtering and processing.

As a means of ensuring food safety and quality, we have chosen and implemented food safety management standards consistent with the food safety and quality management system, which is based on the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), good hygiene and good manufacturing regulations.

Poultry breeding

In our mission to ensure the quality from the field to the table, in order to properly manage food safety risks, Vilnius and Kaišiadorys poultry farms have implemented the quality management system consistent with the international Food Safety Standard ISO 22000 which has been successfully certified since 2009.

Poultry processing

Fresh poultry production units operate a food safety management system that meets the requirements of version 7 of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. Fresh chicken production is certified under this standard since 2005. Recently, we have been receiving the highest ratings of level A.

Kaisiadorys poultry farm aims to establish itself in export market and continues to develop the processes of chicken production. In October 2013 the independent certification audit was performed in the unit of nuggets, patties for hamburgers and schnitzels in accordance with the FSSC 22000 certification scheme, to obtain ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 certifications demonstrating the conformity of our manufacture to universally recognized food safety management standards.

Our important achievement is a successful audit according to the standard of one of the largest world restaurant companies YUM! Owning fast food restaurant chains KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken), Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. In September 2013 Vilnius poultry farm became a certified supplier of fresh chilled chicken to the international restaurant chain KFC.

By managing and improving products, we focus on the control of the production process, and strive to stay competitive, protect our reputation, and enhance the brand image. ISO 22000, BRC, FSSC 22000 food safety and quality certifications is the proof of our credibility and responsibility to our customers and buyers.
